Allana participated for Australia in the Rugby Sevens 2013 and then was injured repeatedly to her knees which caused Allana to retire from the field. The Australian returned to the rugby league after several years. Allana was the first woman to make her debut in rugby league against Queensland in New South Wales. Allana is also adding radio into her arsenal, performing regularly with the top-rating Continuous Call Team on 2GB. Allana holds a professional teaching qualification outside of sports. Allana Ferguson holds the rare privilege of playing for Australia in three sports, rugby sevens along with touch and rugby league. Ferguson has already injured ligaments in the same knee at the ages of 15, 17, and after tearing her fourth ligament, it was game over for the 25-year old. Ferguson is JILLAROOS's player who was forced to step down early because of a fourth tear to the ACL of her left.
